Louisiana Educational Assessment Program (LEAP) - Louisiana requires all students in grades 3-8 to take assessment tests in English language arts, science, social studies and math. High school students must take the assessments in English I and II, biology, U.S. history, algebra I and geometry.

Louisiana Real Estate Appraiser Tests and Licensing - Real estate appraisers are required to take and pass the General Certified Real Estate Appraiser exam before being licensed. All applicants must obtain a minimum score of 75 percent in order to pass. The test lasts approximately six hours and has 150 multiple-choice questions.
Louisiana Cosmetologists Exam and Licensure - All cosmetologists must take a theoretical and practical state licensing exam. Applicants must make 70 percent on each portion in order to pass. The theoretical exam covers topics such as safety procedures and regulations. The practical exam requires applicants to demonstrate their skills. Applicants must bring their own supplies to the practical.
Louisiana Real Estate Agents Testing and Licensing - Louisiana requires real estate agents to pass the Real Estate Salesperson Licensing Examination. The computer-based exam is administered by a third party and costs $75. Applicants have three hours to complete the test. The exam is closed book and consists of 135 multiple-choice questions.
Louisiana Private Investigators Exams and Licensing - All private investigators in the state of Louisiana must sit for an exam developed by the Board of Private Investigator Examiners. Each applicant must achieve a score of 75 percent or higher to pass. The fee for the exam is $25. Applicants must complete a 40-hour training course before taking the exam.
Driver's Tests
Louisiana Driving Tests - Louisiana requires all first-time drivers to pass a written exam, a vision screening and a driving skills test. Drivers under the age of 18 must also take a driver's education or pre-licensing course before they can receive a full license.
Louisiana Commercial Driving Tests - Drivers who want to obtain a Commercial Driver's License (CDL) must first pass a written test and obtain a CDL instruction permit. Once they have the permit they can schedule a CDL road test. The road test is administered by a third party. Applicants must also pass a medical exam.
Louisiana Motorcycle Tests - Applicants for a motorcycle endorsement must pass a vision screening, a written test and a driving skills test. The latter is waived for applicants who have passed the Motorcycle Safety Awareness and Operators Training Program or the Harley-Davidson Rider's Edge New Rider Course. New residents with a valid license are exempted from testing.
