It uses multiple choice and applied skills questions to test students in language arts, math, social studies and science. An alternative assessment is available for disabled students. General Equivalency Diploma (GED) - Indiana offers the GEC by examination to adults without a high school diploma. The test covers language arts, social studies, mathematics and science. Most questions are multiple choice but there is an essay in the language arts section. A minimum score of 2250 points is required to pass.
