Academic Tests

Criterion-Referenced Competency Tests (CRCT) - The CRCT is taken by students in grades one through eight and tests student competency in a variety of subject areas according to Georgia's educational curriculum guidelines.

Georgia High School Writing Test (GHSWT) - Formerly, a multiple choice exam was required for Georgia high school students seeking diplomas, but now students must successfully complete the GHSWT to graduate from high school. Students have 100 minutes to respond to a persuasive writing prompt.

Georgia End of Course Tests (EOCT) - The EOCT assess student achievement at the end of several high school courses in the fields of Mathematics, Social Studies, Science, and English Language Arts. The tests can be completed on-line or on pencil-and-paper and are factored into students' final course grades.

Georgia High School Graduation Test (GHSGT) - High school students must pass this exam in order to graduate. The exam is first taken in the 11th grade, and students must pass individual sections in the following: English, Math, Science, Social Studies and Writing.

Georgia Assessments for the Certification of Educators  - This series of assessments is required for those who want to become educators. The assessents consist of several tests including a Basic Skills Assessment, Content Assessments, Professional Pedagogy Assessments, Educational Leadership Assessments and Paraprofessional Assessments.

Georgia Residential and General Contractors Test  - Georgia requires candidates for Contractor Licenses to take and pass a PSI exam taken either within Georgia or in a neighboring state.

Driver's Tests

Road Rules and Road Sign Tests  - The Road Rules test examines drivers' knowledge of laws and safe driving practices pulled from the Georgia Department of Driver Services Manual. The Road Sign Test asks questions about the meanings of standard highway signs. Both of these tests must be passed before proceeding to the Driving Test.

Driving Test - The Driving Test examines a number of hands-on road skills including parallel parking, quick stops, turning, passing and following.
