Academic Tests Transitional Colorado Assessment Program (TCAP) - The TCAP is administered starting in third grade. It is designed to determine whether or not students meet the Colorado Model Content Standards. Students must take the reading, writing and mathematics sections in grades 3-10 and the science section in grades 5, 8 and 10. Colorado Massage Therapist Exams and Licensing - Find information on what is required to become a licensed massage therapist in Colorado. Colorado Plumbing Exams and Licensure - Find information on licensing and testing to become a plumber in Colorado. Colorado Teachers Licensing and Testing - Colorado teachers must take two tests before they can be licensed. The first test is the PLACE test, which measures a teacher's knowledge of his or her specialty. This test is multiple choice. Teachers must also complete the Praxis II exam, if it is administered in their subject area. Colorado Hairstyling and Cosmetology Licensing and Testing - Those who wish to practice hairstyling, cosmetology or similar professions and don't have a license must pass an exam in order receive their license. All exams are administered by Pearson VUE and candidates must register with them. The exam is waived for candidates with a license from another state. Driver's Tests Colorado Driving Test - To obtain a Colorado driver's license applicants must take a vision test, a written test and a driving test. All three must be passed in order for the license to be issued. They must also have a valid learner's permit. The vision test is also required for renewals. |
