The College Level Examination Program, or CLEP, is a series of tests on particular subjects that allows college students to try to "test out" of certain class requirements. CLEP tests are offered for 33 different test subjects, and when students score high enough on the exam, they are granted course credit for the class, saving a semester's worth of class work, time and tuition. CLEP tests are offered year-round and any college student is eligible for the exam. To learn more about the CLEP series of exams, read The Guide to AP and CLEP Tests.
