The American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) offers certification to sonography professionals: the Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer (RDMS) and the Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer (RDCS). To take the exams, candidates for certification must have completed a post-secondary program in sonography and meet certain parameters.
